Quincy Report: Walmart, a new Campsite and Doing Macon.

My humans are always on the move.  Just when I find a nice place with good smells and squirrels, they move the RV to some new place.  Then I have to re-smell the whole area to see if it suits me.  So on our way to Macon, Ga., we stopped in some town to do the Walmart thing.  My humans like to train me by taking me into Walmart and letting me sniff things.  And then whenever I take a good sniff of merchandise, they immediately say “Leave it!”  It’s tough to be a guide dog in training with all this stuff to sniff.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Dad and me going into Walmart.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Yeah, get a cart cause we are going to buy lots of stuff.  What’s that girl looking at me for?  Oh, that’s right, she thinks I’m cute.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Mom’s looking for diary goods.  I could care less about cow stuff.  Let’s move on to the toys and dog things.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Seriously.  You think I’m afraid of of stuffed cat?  Back off……. fur ball!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Now we are talking.  A little high fashion collar for when I go stepping out in Macon tonight.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  A new toy would be nice too.  I’m getting bored with those bones.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Are you looking at me dude?  Back it down or I’ll come up there and knock the “stuffing” out of you.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Don’t let my dad see these bikes.  We’ll be here forever.  Maybe Paige should come here and get a new bike.

Finally we left Walmart and headed to Macon which was only about 40 miles away.  We found a nice camp ground at the Lake Tobesofkee Recreational Area. I had a great view of the lake and a lot of new area to sniff out.  I am living good.

Stepping out tonight.  Going to see my friend Paige and her family and then we are going to see my buddy, Evan, in a play at Mercer College.  Wow, I lead an adventurous life!

It sounds like you are having a great time! If you get your humans to hurry home you might find lots of snow to play in. But they would have to hurry because it will probably melt in a day or two.
We are in Chicago right now where there is lots of snow, too. My busty, Cooper, lives up here with my daughter. You would like him….I guess he would be sort of a distant relative of yours, but he is a chocolate lab instead if yellow like you. He likes to play and take walks to a park around the corner. He says to tell you hi.
Tell your humans I say hi and keep sniffin’!
